- How do I know what the theme is for the upcoming issue?
-
- If the upcoming issue has a theme, it will be featured on the journal home page and details will be provided along with the publication schedule on the “About this Journal” page.
- How do I suggest a theme for a future issue?
-
- Have a topic in mind for a future issue you think OLAQ should discuss in the library community? Please browse the OLAQ archives to see previous themes for reference, and then contact the OLAQ Coordinator with a short proposal (100-500 words).
- When should I submit an article?
-
- Ideally, as soon as possible after a call for article submissions! Three to four weeks before the publication date is desirable.
- Check the site regularly for updates. The journal is published on a quarterly basis, so calls for articles generally go out about 8-10 weeks ahead of projected publication dates. If we have 3-4 weeks to then edit and work with the submissions, this is optimal.
- How long will it be before I hear back, or before my article is published?
-
- The guest editor(s) or OLAQ coordinator should be in touch with you within 7 days to confirm your submission and clarify any other materials or information that may be necessary.
- Most articles are published within 8-12 weeks of the initial call for articles in the upcoming quarterly issue, but you will have contact with someone on the editorial team throughout so your submission isn’t languishing!
- What if my article has been published elsewhere?
-
- That’s ok. Any materials published in the OLAQ revert to the author for publication rights. Please carefully read the “Article Submission Agreement” when submitting your files, and see our Policies page for more copyright information.
- Can I publish my contribution somewhere else after it's been featured in OLAQ?
-
- That’s ok, too. Please carefully read the “Article Submission Agreement” when submitting your files, and see our Policies page for more copyright information.
